run in the park!

the weekend has been kinda sloowwww.....but nice.....my boys were tired and so was I.....we had one of those weekends that are really boring but much needed.....I am not sure we will have many more of those for a while.....instead of going to church...found myself engrossed in a book and escaping to neverland...which was pretty nice..since I do not remember the last time I read a book cover to cover in a day....and DON"T ask what the name of the book is...cause it was not educational...but it satisfied my need to lose myself in something ..........too much info?.....probably...

anyway...

I had wanted to go to the park yesterday and betrayed myself by sleeping in not only yesterday but today, too....so....at 7 I hit the road ...a small 3 mile loop that is full of hills that I cannot climb...but it did not seem as scary as the time I was here with my oldest who left me in the dust......the humidity was tough...but I did try to climb some of those hills and definitely enjoyed being outside and listening to my music...
as of this moment I am sitting here drinking a glass of merlot and munching on wheat thins and french onion dip...probably NOT a superfood...but better than anything else I could find in the fridge.....I am wishing for some hummus, a beer, and maybe some chunky monkey for dessert......but alas, NO..... ;-(

as I rounded the last curve and ran down the hill to my car....i looked up to see a gorgeous full moon glowing in the sky above a big old oak tree.....I took a picture and wish I could show it to you...but I am not computer savvy enough to send it here...maybe one day....

this all sounds pretty mundane.....and I guess it has been...but sometimes mundane is good..............working 8 hrs tomorrow and then 12's the rest of the week thro the weekend...woohoo!!!!.....somehow I got the holiday to work...which really doesn't matter.......no real plans anyway......

hope the new week is good for all
i WILL be running!
patti

word of the day: scrumptious....as in the chunky monkey ice cream is "scrumptious"!
