my my MY MY MY!!!!

It is sum kind'a hot and humid!....I hit the pavement...
making 'me' get out of the bed....Patti was tired .....got home at
830 last night.....long day........
DID have the cutest baby boy.....he had dark eyes...and coal black hair LOTS of hair (enough to blow dry) .....many times I never get around to the nursery to check out babies after they have their first bath and get back under the warmer....but yesterday decided to sneak a peak...and couldn't help but laugh, this kid had a tough entrance into the world...but he was laying their looking like one of those baby dolls at walmart....dreaming baby dreams .....

anyway...enough of work....

the world out there is so dang hot and humid....it was dark and muggy...stars are out over my house but the rest of the world looks like a navy blue blanket from my front porch....no moon that i could see....
walked on up in the usual fashion..listening to bonnie rait and jamie scott.....taylor hicks does a pretty good doobie brothers tune....can you tell where this is going......

I ran ......still better than last week...but not as good as I can .....I am going to get up earlier Thursday....so maybe it will be a tad cooler....anyway....I got up and moved.....saw my friend who helps me up hell hill....he says 'there's my girl'......always encouraging.....

forgive me for rambling.....but you know how you have some friends that no matter where you are or who you become...they are your friends...?...
well...yesterday...A lady that I used to work with was at the hospital with her husband....she was waiting on him to get out of surgery...one of the anesthesiologist had told me...and since I can manage to get into places the rest of the world cannot...i took the back way to surgery and checked out a few things......all was well with him....and soooo...i sat in the waiting room with her ...haven't seen her in a year.. or so....she is one of these people that has never known the word 'can't' ....she has been an inspiration to me since the first day I landed in labor and delivery...her ability to manage people and love them all at the same time is a gift.....and when she puts her mind to it she can figure out how to do most anything.....the maintenance guys were her best friends because she was always borrowing tools from them or stealing theirs off their carts......they usually knew where to go look if anything was missing..she believed her dept had to be running well ...everything...from ceiling to floor and all the in between.....I have missed her encouragement ....she has known me thro both of my children and all the events of the last 20 yrs or so.....she and her husband have stood at my side thro some serious moments and the happiest ones.......it was with relief that I waited for him to come out of surgery and the first thing he said was...'patti....how are the boys?'......he is fine......the hard part will be recovery...altho' they have a way of turning the bad stuff into good.....
She says kind things to me as I leave and we hug and tomorrow I will see her again ...but today was a nice gift to me even tho' she thinks I gave her the gift...........
toodles for today.... ;-)

I had a choice today....run at 5:00 with my group or 5:30 with cross country. HMM....5:00 or 5:30? 5:00 or 5:30? So, I did the wisest and ran at 5:30. I thought I would be doing great with an extra half-hour of sleep. However, when I arrived with the cross country group, to my surprise...we ran hills....12x's. Jog down, run up...jog down, run up....throw up. Uuggh!
I'm running again this afternoon at 7:00 if your interested. Promise...no hills, just good company...good company, as in Haygood!
